Das duale System ist ein Abfall-Sammel-System. Dabei werden zum Beispiel gebrauchte Lebensmittel-Verpackungen gesammelt, getrennt und verwertet. Kunststoff-Verpackungen wie Joghurt-Becher werden in einem Gelben Sack oder einer Gelben Tonne gesammelt. Glasbehälter sammelt man im Glas-Container, Papier im Papier-Container. Möglichst viel davon wird wiederverwendet (recycelt).
The dual system is a waste collection system. For example, used food packaging is collected, separated and recycled. Plastic packaging, such as yoghurt pots, is collected in a yellow bag or a yellow bin. Jars and bottles are collected in bottle banks, paper in paper recycling bins. As much of the waste as possible is recycled.
